This letter is an introduction and welcome to IHOPE Ministries. IHOPE is located at 722 S. Hackett Rd. in Waterloo. IHOPE is a non-profit Christian church ministry.

IHOPE seeks to promote unity in the body of Christ in this area by having Christians pray and work together to help the people of the Cedar Valley.

The two major parts of IHOPE ministries are the House of Prayer (HOP) and the free medical clinic. The HOP consists of groups of Christians coming together to worship and pray. There are several prayer meetings each week, and one day per week there is a 24-hour continuous time of worship and prayer. Prayer is made for our nation, the Cedar Valley area, churches and pastors, families, and individual needs.

The Lord has graciously answered hundreds of prayer requests including salvation of loved ones, restoration of marriages, reduction in area crime rate, and physical healing.

The free medical clinic provides medical care to the uninsured and underinsured in the Cedar Valley area.  Basic medical care is provided on site at IHOPE.  Patients needing lab work are sent to Covenant Hospital, which has graciously provided their services free of charge.  Several area physicians and nurses have volunteered their time and efforts to work at the clinic. A team is also available to pray with the patients who wish to receive prayer. God has already touched several patients through this time of prayer and many patients have committed their lives to the Lord.

Please feel free to visit or join in the activities at the HOP or the free medical clinic. All of the staff are volunteers, and they will be happy to assist you. There are future plans to provide food and clothing to the poor and homeless in the Cedar Valley.

Matt 25:35-36
”For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me.”

May the Lord bless you and your family.

Your friends in Christ,
Dr. Michael and Mary Jo Peters
